Begin Again Living Ministries
(For Facilities, Hospice Providers, and Senior Living Communities)
Purpose
This policy defines the scope, boundaries, and conditions under which Begin Again Living Ministries provides chaplain visits to facilities upon request. It is intended for use by hospice providers, senior living communities, assisted living facilities, board-and-care homes, and related care environments.
Ministry Overview
Begin Again Living Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose primary ministry is an Online Church Chapel, delivering Scripture-based worship, teaching, and spiritual encouragement through a virtual platform.
In-person chaplain visits are a limited, request-based extension of this virtual ministry and are not the primary service model.

Who We Serve
Facility-requested chaplain visits may be provided for:
- Patients receiving hospice or palliative care
- Residents of senior living, assisted living, or board-and-care settings
- Individuals experiencing serious illness, grief, or end-of-life transitions
- Families seeking spiritual support during periods of decline or loss
- Caregivers and healthcare staff requesting spiritual encouragement
Scope of Chaplain Services
When approved and scheduled, chaplain visits may include:
- Spiritual presence and supportive listening
- Bedside prayer
- Celebration of communion
- Faith-based encouragement
- Family spiritual support during illness or end-of-life care
Request Process
- Chaplain visits are provided by request only
- Requests may be initiated by facility administration, hospice staff, patients, or authorized family members
- All requests are reviewed for appropriateness, availability, and alignment with ministry scope
- Visits are subject to scheduling and are not guaranteed
Facility Coordination
Facilities agree to:
Begin Again Living Ministries agrees to:
- Provide appropriate authorization for chaplain access
- Inform relevant staff of scheduled visits
- Ensure compliance with facility safety, infection control, and visitor policies
- Identify a point of contact for coordination
Begin Again Living Ministries agrees to:
- Respect facility policies and protocols
- Maintain professional conduct and boundaries
- Coordinate visits in a manner that minimizes disruption to care operations
2. Liability, Consent, and Boundary Acknowledgment

Nature of ServicesAll chaplain services provided by Begin Again Living Ministries are spiritual and pastoral in nature. Services do not constitute medical care, mental health treatment, legal advice, or crisis response.
Consent
By requesting or authorizing chaplain services, the facility and/or individual acknowledges and agrees that:

Begin Again Living Ministries and its representatives:
Confidentiality
Chaplain interactions are treated with pastoral confidentiality. However:
Nature of ServicesAll chaplain services provided by Begin Again Living Ministries are spiritual and pastoral in nature. Services do not constitute medical care, mental health treatment, legal advice, or crisis response.
Consent
By requesting or authorizing chaplain services, the facility and/or individual acknowledges and agrees that:
- Chaplain services are voluntary and may be discontinued at any time
- Participation does not replace facility staff, hospice care teams, or licensed professionals
- Spiritual care is provided based on expressed preferences and consent
- Services are offered without expectation of payment
Liability Limitation
Begin Again Living Ministries and its representatives:
- Are not responsible for medical, clinical, or operational decisions
- Are not liable for outcomes related to spiritual conversations or religious practices requested by the individual
- Do not assume responsibility for patient safety beyond spiritual presence
Confidentiality
Chaplain interactions are treated with pastoral confidentiality. However:
- Chaplains are not covered entities under HIPAA
- Information may be shared with facility staff only when required for safety or as permitted by the individual or legal representative
Begin Again Living Ministries shall provide chaplain services upon request only, as a limited extension of its primarily virtual ministry. Services may include spiritual presence, prayer, communion, and faith-based encouragement, subject to availability and appropriateness.
Chaplain services are non-clinical, non-medical, and non-therapeutic in nature. Nothing in this agreement shall be construed as the provision of healthcare services, mental health treatment, or emergency response.
Relationship of Parties
Begin Again Living Ministries operates as an independent nonprofit organization. No employment, agency, or joint venture relationship is created through this agreement.
Facilities remain solely responsible for patient care, supervision, and regulatory compliance.
Financial Terms
Chaplain services are provided without charge and are supported through charitable donations and grants. No services are contingent upon financial contribution by the facility, patient, or family.
Termination of Services
Either party may discontinue chaplain services at any time, with or without cause, by providing notice to the other party.
Compliance
Chaplain visits shall be conducted in accordance with:
