Begin Again Living Ministries (BALM) is a faith-base Christian ministry. Since its inception on September 20, 1997, BALM's single most important goal is to spread the gospel to the ends of earth. Like the Apostle Paul, Christ's ministering servants are been called to traverse the four corners of the Globe to reach the unreached with the message of Hope a message which provides the balm for millions of wounded souls. As Jesus Christ proclaimed in His own words He is the only Way for all mankind, the Truth and the only one who gives eternal life (Jn. 14:6).
BALM was birth on the idea of providing education through seminars and workshops. All donation received are used strictly for the ministry and no one profits or gains from our ministry funds. Derrick saw the need to get support through donations. Before it was from his own pocket, he was providing these service free of cost already. In 2006 this ministry received its non-profit status, and since then our funds to this ministry, we use to educate and provide support.
Due to this pandemic, people are looking for a place where someone will listen to their grief or be there, this is where BALM comes in. We provide grief counseling and bereavement services for FREE, but must sign up for services. We're asking if you're interested in joining our class or workshops, please send an email to [email protected] where we will provide you information on our workshops, but due to COVID, we'll provide our Zoom link and password to join the group for workshops or grief support groups.
You can Begin Again Living by sending us an email, and we'll put you in touch with a BALM grief mentor who can provide bereavement support. We hope to hear from you soon.

Chaplain Derrick Hall is an ordained minister, evangelist, hospice chaplain, certified grief counseling specialist, author and is the speaker / director of Begin Again Living Ministries (BALM) for the past 23 years. Derrick has traveled and conducted grief and bereavement seminars marriage and financial bootcamps, medical missionary training classes, evangelistic series throughout the United States, European and Caribbean Island's . Derrick also serves as a volunteer chaplain to law enforcement officers, in the Sacramento & Placer County area.
